Iran-Canada-‘ Winter Station ’

Music Language! Migration: can change cultures over time. Old cultures can be recovered or forgotten. By linking Immigrants and Toronto’s native people, we can help to keep old cultures. Our team thinks that music can bring people together, it means that music is a collective language between different cultures. In this project, we made a space with metal tubes like big musical instruments that have notes. With these objects, People can play every type of music for example their own folk music. On the top of this installation, there are free tubes that create calm music as the background of the beach. Furthermore, besides the pleasant sound, we chose a red color for this installation to attract people. The top of the reverse pyramid form (from the ground up to the lifeguard) shows new immigrants that are added to Toronto, and the end of the pyramid (underground), shows the origins of Toronto’s native people.
